There is nothing in this world that excites Jonny more than (1) fresh batch of books, (2) pretty notebooks worthy of a spot at a museum, (3) shoes, and (4) where to travel next. When she’s not busy with the aforementioned, she works. She had spent the last 19 years working her way around the hospitality and catering industry. Her hotel background gave her the discipline and grace to work well under pressure, to be patient, and most importantly, to stay organized in any given situation. The catering world, on the other, provided her the opportunity to stay abreast in the ever-changing world of the culinary industry and to meet some of the most extraordinary, inspiring individuals that she now proudly calls her friends.
Guilty pleasure: Tucking into a bag of Ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips with a side of French onion dip and green tea while rereading Jane Austen’s Persuasion
Not-so secret superpower: Keeping cool and calm. “I hardly ever get rattled, whether I’m in the office or at an event. There is no room for meltdowns at events in my book.”
Regular weekend activity: As a San Franciscan, she appreciates the mercurial weather and the crisp air Karl the Fog brings. To get the full experience, a nice hike up Mt. Davidson near Sherwood Forest or a brisk walk around Crocker Amazon/McLaren Park usually does the trick. Sometimes, urban-hiking and door-spotting in Pacific Heights or Cole Valley can be good way to spend a Saturday, too.
Best local getaway: A trip to Pescadero for some quiet beach time.
Go-to app: Hopper; for all those crazy flights deals everywhere in the world.
