CodeSignal, a trailblazer in the learning and development sphere, sought to catapult its brand into the spotlight by unveiling a revolutionary product. This endeavor was not just about introducing a new offering to the market; it was about creating a seismic shift in how professional growth and technical learning are approached. The vision was clear: to orchestrate an event that would not only serve as the launchpad for their product but also foster a community of innovators, learners, and leaders passionate about the future of technology.

To realize this ambition, CodeSignal partnered with Kennedy Events, entrusting us with the mission to design an experience that would be impactful. The event would be a confluence of visionary ideas, groundbreaking discussions, and an exclusive unveiling, all set against a galactic theme at the YBCA Blue Shield of California Theatre in San Francisco.

The challenge for Kennedy Events was multifaceted: curate an experience that transcends the conventional product launch, foster a sense of unity and community among attendees, and ignite a passion for innovation that would ripple out into the wider tech community. This event was not just about showcasing a new product; it was about setting the stage for a movement towards enhanced learning and development in tech, with the ultimate goal of amassing new clients and expanding the brand’s influence far beyond the event itself.

The Answer

The agenda was meticulously crafted to include a blend of fireside chats featuring luminaries from the tech world, such as Sal Khan of Khan Academy and Steve Wozniak, along with a keynote and product demo by the CEO of CodeSignal. This mix aimed to inspire, educate, and energize an audience of keen professionals ready to lead the charge in the evolving tech landscape.

Elevating the Experience with Brand Activation and Engagement

From the onset, the event was imbued with elements designed to captivate and engage attendees, creating a memorable experience that extended beyond the core programming. A standout feature was the incorporation of Cosmo the Corgi, CodeSignal’s beloved mascot, which found its way onto an array of items including socks, beanies, cookies, and even the photo booth activation.

As attendees gathered in the theatre, awaiting the start of the show, the atmosphere was alive with anticipation. This was further amplified by engaging activities such as trivia and the offering of delicious treats, ensuring that the energy levels remained high and that the audience was primed for the main event.

The moment the CEO took the stage, walking on to the powerful strains of “Unstoppable” by Sia, marked the pinnacle of the event, symbolizing the relentless drive and innovative spirit of CodeSignal. This carefully chosen walk-on song encapsulated the essence of the occasion, setting the tone for an unveiling that was both inspiring and forward-looking.

The visual impact of the event was undeniable, with over 110 feet of branded materials creating an immersive environment that spoke volumes of the brand’s vision and commitment to innovation. Additionally, the strategic covering of 50 windows with branding not only maximized visibility but also transformed the venue into a testament to CodeSignal’s identity and mission.
