Scout: Spark! Conference

CREATING A VIBRANT CONFERENCE IN A TRADITIONAL INDUSTRY

The Ask: Scout’s ambitions were simple: to create a memorable, fresh event in the sourcing and procurement industry; which isn’t known for lively events. During the planning and production process, the client was acquired by WorkDay, which offered expansions in the budget but increased the complexity of the approval process.

The Answer: Our approach involved lots of strategic conversations with stakeholders about where additional funding could create impact and how to best illuminate the new relationship between the two brands. Ultimately, we decided that high design impact elements that would create a feeling of whimsy would breathe life into this event, including a Lido Deck theme involving palm trees, beautiful blond wood furniture, and a Carribean-style brunch. As for managing all of those stakeholders? Kennedy Events prides itself on being nimble and flexible which was key to helping Scout + WorkDay come to consensus without slowing down the process.
