HOLMES REPORT: SABRE AWARDS
KEEPING AN AWARDS SHOW BRISK AND BRIGHT
The Ask: The Holmes Report offers a multi-event showcase throughout the year, with happenings in both San Francisco and New York City. After first working on their West Coast conference, we were re-engaged to manage their SABRE Awards show on the East Coast: getting more than 100 award-winners across a stage in a 90-minute dinner (including breaks)—without a single attendee falling asleep.
The Answer: Our approach included our background in theatre and our passion for stage management—with a partner having come of age on the stage, we were able to expertly manage the evening to keep the event, the wine, and the energy flowing. The result was a brilliant evening with lots of happy award winners.
Other events with Holmes included the In2 Summit at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco.

With long award ceremonies, mix it up. To keep the energy up and eyes moving during the presentation of over 100 awards, we added a bit of drama by alternating focus between presentation platforms on the main stage as well as the circular stage in the middle of the room.
We love giving guests their star moment. A step-and-repeat backdrop offers a fun opportunity for guests to have their photo taken on the red carpet while also providing a great spot for event and sponsor exposure; think of all those photos shared on social media!
Broadway-level artistry and organization yield dazzling events. Pulling off this event required stage and foodservice magic, meticulous scripting, and audio-visual rehearsals. One of our favorite installations was the digital light show that painted the room with patterns and color.
